Ghostdiva's idea about what Charlene ends up doing seems sensible to me. When I was writing stories about one her closest friends getting married and having babies and such, I wondered where she might be, but I didn't bother asking.

Now, I seem to have started a story set in 2026. There's a chance it won't work out (I've had a bit of that lately), but I was thinking of maybe giving Charlene a mention (otherwise I'm steering clear of characters I didn't create and their immediate families). But with that said, she'd probably overcrowd things, so maybe I won't.

Anyway, I don't have any ideas for her at all. Helpful!

Say is there going to be anything else done for ghosts and such like Samhaine or the Grundle, or the Boogieman? I hate to bug, but they should be address more since they have a history and have become something more than a average spook. Thought i'd ask.

Ozzy-

Every so often, I consider doing a more "general" type of TOBIN section, like I do for the GBWC ( http://www.gbwc.net/tobin/ ) but never seem to have the energy to sit down and do it. I'm so far behind of where I wish I was on everything else.

Anyway...

The GBI Timeline and GBNY pages now contain a mess of spoilers for the identity of Ray's wife, as revealed in Book Six of "Chronicles of Gozer". I even finally put her name in From This Moment in place of the "Redacted" in the original release. "Forever", of course, is just fine as is.

Yeah for the most part, nope it seems then. The GBWC got the bones of if it figured out. Maybe I should do some research. lol I think there should be pages for the ghosts sort of like having a wanted list type thing.

Without a doubt, The grundle, and boogieman both have a running relationship to the ghostbusters like the joker to batman, and it should be addressed. Anyways, I'll let you know if I come up with anything.

It's the twenty-fifth anniversary, so this seemed like a good time to unveil this:

The Timeline section has undergone some revamping. Where once we had two timeline, the Classic one and the GBI/Fanon one, a third has appeared.

I've been sweating how to deal with the video game, the new comics, and the possible third movie, in a way that doesn't wreck the Classic or GBI Timelines, and one idea I had--prompted, to some degree, by Star Trek XI and the creation of two distinct Trek timelines, Trek Classic and New Trek--is to just simply give up to some extent.

At this moment, all material released in 2008 and beyond has it's own home: the New Timeline. It starts with a more "movie purist" view (ie the Ghostbusters do indeed go out of business right after GB1), and on this timeline you will find "The Other Side" and "Ghost Busted". The Video Game will be here with far less potential alteration than it would to fit into the Classic Timeline. As a default, anything officially released after now will go there.

That doesn't mean the original Timeline is abandoned, however. The Classic Timeline is still there, albeit it's moved just a bit: http://www.ectozone.com/gbtimeline/gbot.php .The old url now leads to an index page with links to all three timeline.

The GBI/Ectozone Fan Fic Timeline is exactly where it was.

It was kind of a rough decision to do this, but perhaps it will be for the best in the long term. I hope everyone will give this a shot.

Thanks for the update. Its been interesting as some fans don't like dividing the animated from the movies, sort of suggesting that the animated is Dead. However, since in effect the animated is being abandoned due to GB II/GB TVG, it is clear this is the right move. But don't be surprised by the possible backlash.

Anyways I'm for it!

I sorta already did one (even though it, of course, doesn't have anything from the video games in it)

Well, if you haven't noticed by now, I don't really like considering them something seperate either. It's why I hung on so long to the idea of not dividing the Timeline; and the Classic Timeline still contains the events of the two movies and always will.

I won't even rule out putting GB3 in the Classic Timeline when/if it comes out, as, like most other events in the original Timeline, it would follow something of a "real time" progression from the earlier movies. How much has to be "ignored" depends on how much it contradicts EGB and other stuff already there.

Well, a right then! Looks like a good compromise. I find it highly ironic that you posted this the same day a Harold Ramis interview comes out in which Harold states he doesn't think it will be considered canon. You guys really need to get on the same page with this stuff, jeez!

I dont mind the new timeline at all, but I think its pretty re-goddamn-diculous that Doom Patrol is easier for you to accept than the video game... I mean damn, you described it like you were giving a review of one of the Egon porno fictions.

Ouch. That wouldn't hurt so bad if there wasn't some truth behind it.

I'm trying, Mick. I really am. I guess I still have a way to go. Sorry.

I dont mean it as an insult or anything, and you dont owe me any kind of APOLOGY, its not like its MY video game, but as a friend though I had to point it out, I dont think you even REALIZED how overly harsh it was while writing it and I'd hate to see you end up like one of those guys who just blindly spews anger and hatred at the mere mention of something.

Oh that reminds me, I HATE DOOM PATROL! I SHALL KEEL THEM ALL!

Post subject:  Re: The Ghostbusters Omnibus Timeline

Personally, I didn't read it to have any type of overtone to it at all harsh or otherwise, I thought it was very neutral, like a history text book sorta (but not in a bad way) it had lots of facts in a truncated timeline.

So to recap, I didn't read any hatred or negative overtones into the new timeline section.

I think it's a great idea. Many fandoms have multiple timelines and it is great that we can have multiple timelines written by the same person and linked in the same place so that everyone can explore all the variations and become a familiar and informed ghosthead fairly fast. Instead of scouring the search engines and message boards for 10 yrs or so like it would take otherwise.

If a professionally, well done video isn't canon, what is? It's not like G:TVG is a cheap, cheesy greeting card created by a mouth & foot artist begging you to buy his pitiful wares.

* No offensive to mouth & foot artists who can definitely paint better than I.
