Just because there is some news that doesn't have anything to do with video games:

http://protoncharging.com/gb/2007/11/17 ... stbusters/

Quote:
Paul [Rudoff] at Spook Central emailed me about this documentary on the making of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon series, all the way through story writing, sound recording, and final animation in Japan. The 20 minute short includes interviews with Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Joe Medjuck, and more, including some of the Japanese producers, like Shigeru Akagawa at K.K.C&D, and featuring Rolf Harris as narrator.

It’s a good look at the process of getting the show made, though it sadly doesn’t feature J. Michael Straczynski. With all the Ghostbusters 2 materials lying around, it’s pretty clear this was done after his initial run on the show.

There’s even a nice shot of the DIC building in California, which I got stare at for three days when working at a Disney building across the street.

For the time being, you can download the show here.

The clip was originally uploaded (the megaupload link above) by maskedshuuyu at [GBN] - so big ups to M for sharing with the world. Sorry it went unnoticed for so long. And more thanks to Matthew at the same boards, for providing some additional details. He confirmed that the segment was presented in 1989 as a special Rolf’s Cartoon Club segment, entitled Slimer Won’t Do That (something masked had mentioned as well.)

In addition to the download, it's available in two parts on YouTube:

ok, besides the voice actors bit this was kinda boring.

Did everyone else know that Harold was a skeptic, I don't think I knew that. Geez, No ghosts, no Janine... He's the Anti-Egon, lol!

I really enjoyed the segment with the voice actors. I just wished all of the voice actors could have been in the recording studio together. That really would have been fun to watch. ;)

That was really interseting. I always wondered if there was footage somewhere of the voice sessions, and watching Frank Welker do Slimer while the scene played in the corner was really cool. I would have liked to have seen the rest of the cast, though.

Even better if they'd done it in the days of Lorenzo Music, Laura Summer, and Arsenio Hall.

One interesting thing I mentioned, I think on GBN: interesting how it's Aykroyd, Ramis, Welker, and LaMarche they talk to: both versions of Ray and Egon.
