This is so awesome! However I'm dreading what the price of it will be.

Same here. My husband's already complaining. Maybe I'll get him the That 70's Show boxset to keep him happy... My motto: Saw it, wanted it, had a fit, got it.

A friend of mine who actually spends time looking a lot of this stuff up, reminded me that when TimeLife released the Get Smart set a while back, the price ended up dropping significantly. Now, I wonder if this was the result of it not quite penetrating the public concsiousness in the same way that RGB has, but it does at least give hope for those not wanting to drop $200 for the set quite yet.
Me: I will gladly get a job at Burger King just to buy this set. And the way the economy is going, I probably will, but hey, it'll be worth it

I got the boot leg some years back so this is not as big of a deal for me .
I'm still going to get it but I'm not scrambling for funds just yet .

Head here and vote on the artwork! There are two mockups, and votes decide which one gets developed. Details on the page the link goes to. (I voted for the firehouse box) I got a link to vote for the artwork as well. I voted for "Slime". You can also pre-order the box set. It's $162 for orders placed before September 1, and $180 after. Hmm... as much as I want this dvd collection, I know if I wait long enough I'll probably get it at a much cheaper price somewhere else (like the amazon.com marketplace).

I can't convince myself to give a shit about the video game or the new rounds of "They're doing a GB3 after all!!!" rumors. The fact that the loudest voices have been some utter dicks doesn't help. The Tokyopop manga, maybe a little interest. But this? This is the Ghostbusters as I first fell in love with them. This is the only thing currently percolating that makes me excited to be a Ghosthead again. This is what I want. If I scrape together the lettuce to buy this, I will die happy if I never shell out another dime on Ghostbusters merchandise.
