Trying to get a release date on another show (if anybody hears when the classic DW "The Brain of Morbius" is coming out, please let me know), I found this:

http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Real-Ghost ... Rumor/9505

Not much to say, except "Please?"

I'm not holding my breath too strongly, but maybe somebody realized "Hey. This new Ghostbusters video game is getting a lot of heat. Maybe this would be a good time to, I dunno, released like 140 episodes of animation with the Ghostbusters name on it?"

That would make sense, but then again, "sense" and "Sony" don't always belong in the same sentence.

Just what I thought when I read that. I'm just hoping it's not the same episodes that we already have on DVD. It said something about "multi-disk set", so I don't know. And it also said it's not Sony doing it, yet it's still official... :?

I hate sketchy articles!

yep, I got that in my e-mail in box (I signed up on the website and TRG is one of the shows I have "on alert" if there is any news)

I agree with Fritz. I'm not holding my breath.

...besides, I'm able to watch almost every episode on you tube (of course until it is yanked, but then someone else posts it! ;) )

THIS is something that I can be very excited about! Best Ghostbuster news in a while I think. I am very eager to hear it announced officially. 26 disc set will be pricey, start paying off those credit cards people you are going to need them, lol.

For once, you beat me to it! I KNEW I shouldn't have gone to Six Flags this morning...

Be still, my beating heart! Looks like my DVD shelf is about to get more crowded...

"Excuse me, Time Life Operator, but can I get The Real Ghostbusters set w/o the Slimer series included, and can I pay less for it? :puke:

All's not lost; maybe I can use the Slimer discs as coasters or frisbees...

The "Slimer and-" seasons aren't a complete waste...There's still Flip Side and Janine, You've Changed.

Not worth the $200 though...

I took BlackMaria's post to mean the Slimer! episodes with them, not the RGB eps that were packaged with them. Am I right?

Eh, I'm pretty sure the episodes that were made up of multiple shorts will stay that way on the disc, rather than being edited into their seperate parts.

For completeness' sake, I like the fact that all of it is on there, but do we know for sure that the "Slimer!" stories are on there? Either way, it's cool. *starts clearing a spot on the DVD shelf*

Slimer & the Real Ghostbusters were way too juvenile for my tastes & if I buy the sets, I won't watch them. It's a waste, but to each, his of her own...

I'll believe when I see it. The annoying thing about Time Life is how they seem to release their "box sets" is how they seem do it. They release one dvd a month & then they send you the box to put them in later. It's going to cost what... about $200? Plus having to order them & probably with a credit card (which I don't have) or by money order is a very annoying way of paying for them & getting them.
I don't mean to sound like I'm complianing, but I was hoping for something better. Like the incredible He-Man & She-Ra ones that BCI released & just being able to go into a shop & buy them.
Also I'm in Australia so I wonder if & when they will available here, since the USA's Fall is our Spring. So it's not really all that positive from my POV. :|
