To me, this set is going to be like an RGB wet dream. (Hope I can say that... :? ). I was hoping for a couple interviews, but it sounds like they're cramming this thing full. Between this set and the Classic Who dvds coming out soon, I'm gonna be broke!

Ummm...did we both read the same list of extras to be included in the set? What WOULD make you excited then?

I don't have the money for it and things in real life have got me down .

I don't see anything on the preorder page for other countries! :(
I don't live in the US, afterall!
Hmmph! I'll probably have to wait another year or so for it, knowing Australia's history of being behind with that sort of stuff!
Not helping with my depression!

Do you have a region-free DVD player? You could always get someone in the US to order it for you.

Yeah. I've got a region free player & I'm getting a DVD recorder soon too.

I've thought about asking my sister or brother about using either of their credit cards to get it, but I'm not sure how they'd feel about that as it's a fair amount of money, although I'm willing to pay it.

Sigh! I wish it was just gonna be available in the shops to buy, so much easier, I hate unnecessary complications. :(

I also dislike having to rely on others do to things like this for me cause I like to be independant & I don't know if I could rely on either of them to do it, especially my brother as he's the most forgetful person I know & one of the most difficult to ask about doing things.

It's a really frustrating predicament.

Can't you just buy one of those pre-paid credit card thingies and then use that? I did once (before I got my check card) and didn't have any trouble. Just get one you can load up with enough to cover the dvds and any extra charges and you should be good to go. And since the card's already loaded, you won't get a bill later.

As long as Time-Life ships internationally, that would be a good option. If they didn't, you'd still have to relay it through someone in the US. Payment wouldn't be a problem as long as the relay person can cover the cost, because that's what an international postal money order is for. :) I used to pay Japanese sellers with those before PayPal got to be popular.

I had a look at the pre-order webpage & it doesn't list any other countries, so I don't think it's going international yet.
I thought maybe when it comes out some Aussie Ebay sellers might get it & put it up for sale from them as they quite often do that with sets from overseas.

I especially like the fact that the article said that the pic we saw was early rough concept art, and that it will look like the cartoon version of *it* (Don't want to spoil it for anyone. Just clicky the linky already).

YES!!! That's the one I voted for (not like it would have made any real difference to me though but still...)

WOAH WOAH WOAH based on the posts I've been reading am I to understand that this set is ONLY going to be available to those who seek it online?

Not like that is a problem for me, I lost my internet shopping virginity long ago, but what I do not like about this is that it will probably not be highly advertised (on television, in stores, etc.)...heck, I wouldn't have known it was going on sale had it not been for this message board.

My fear is that due to lack of visibility this will translate into low sales that may reflect a very untrue lack of interest in TRG.

Not good.
