First of all, I am in the middle of Toy Soldiers and will comment on it latter, I started over at the beginning. So I was thinking... Wouldn't you say with all we know about Roger right now that he could quite possibly fit the description of a Gary Stu? All were missing is that he's some world renowned physicist or something. |

I don't think we know enough about him to make that decision. I admit, though, I wouldn't mind at least some more intentional parallels to him and Egon, just to drive home who Janine really wants. I don't know about "world renowned physicist" level, but I wouldn't consider it out of bounds to say he was a science professor at New York City Community College (the place Egon worked between RGB and EGB). Which is what I'd probably do in this scenario. He's more of a subplot device at this point. Now if he suddenly pops into GBCentral and improved the proton packs ("Look! I made it so crossing the streams is no longer 'bad'!") or something like that, yeah. Kill that with fire. |
