“Flushing Phantom!”
A flushing phantom has taken over a public toilet, and the Ghostbusters are called in to plumb the pipes. What they find is a line leading to the bog of eternal stench, where the worst demons are tormented by a horrible smell for eternity. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it.

>>Insert dated in-joke about this being Back's favorite RGB story ever here<<

Plus I'm a bit surprised they didn't make the "Flushing Phantom" look like the Fearsome Flush toy.

Oh grife...they actually used the Super Fright Features designs...using them as, apparently, protective suits during a dimensional transit actually...and it amazes me to say this in relation to a Marvel UK story...sounds like it makes sense.

And yeah, I think Egon's was based off the suit he wore when he went into the ECU in "X-mas Marks the Spot", though it was more brownish in the episode.

It was also featured in an episode where he turned into a creature in the middle of a talk show. I forget if that was the werechicken epsiode or another 'cause I keep seeing it as being some kind of purple monster.

No they can't. The NYGB Comicguide is just what is says: a GUIDE. The goal is to chronicle as many of the existing GB comics as possible, as well as offer a little tidbit of what each issue was about.

If you want to actually read these books you'll have head on over to Amazon and buy the 4 collections that came out last year. Believe me, that last option is a LOT cheaper than surfing Ebay for 3 years trying to get them all. Either that or find the site of someone with the time, dedication, and no connection at all to the comic industry (so as not to become blacklisted if any legal hassle should ensue) who has put them up on the web to read.

I know we said we'd be putting up #130 on the site, but as it turns out the copy of #130 we got has the insides of ANOTHER issue! But, we still have plenty of CORRECT issues to go!

Added to the database:

RGB UK #131 & 132
This Ghost is Toast!
Which Witch is Which?

Coming in two weeks:

RGBUK 1991 Annual.

Hey, ECTO, did you catch this?

You won't have to go far into it--the first paragraph or two should suffice.

I joked months ago...

The Cat Home is located in Beverly Hills, which is an area of California. The caption shows that the Ghostbusters arrived there soon after being called, which would be impossible as according to Mapquest the firehouse in the comic world is 2810 miles away and over 41 hours by car to Beverly Hills.

Not the first, and probably not the last, time the Marvel UK writers assume kids are too stupid to know the difference. Beverly Hills would be a better case for a Los Angeles office of GBI, wouldn't it?

I was just wanting an "easy" zap-and-trap job to open the story, and remembered that comment. Obviously, I haven't read the Marvel UK story, I just made it all up based on what you put on your site.

And if you check the end of the story, you did get credit for that:

Quote:
The Furrperson Home For Cats and the giant Budgie were inspired by a story that appeared in Marvel UK's RGB#107, written by Jane Roome. I found out about it at NYGB Comicguide (Thanks to ECTO-1 for the information)

I didn't think I put that page up that long ago. I thought you somehow got the story somewhere. :P Shows you how good I keep track of time.
