I generally won't complain about color schemes, but could you please tone down the red or darken the green on the header bars? It actually kind of hurts my eyes.

I really like the bright green. It kind of makes me think of poor old Slimer.

Actually the green on the headers is what hurts my eyes, the red is too bright and the green isn't quite dark enough to make it very readable for me. The background is fine, just the headers give me kind of a headache.

Hahahaha, oh wow I forgot how much I loved that movie. My favorite part was the squirrel in the tree.

New Year's is over, which means the Holidays are done, which means that it's time for the old black and green.
You should know the schedule by now:
February 1-14: sugar shock pink
October: Halloween orange
After Thanksgiving to New Year's: Christmas red and green

I love the holiday colors, but I'm glad to see the black and green back. At least it is back for the month.

I hate to say it, but I like this one a lot better than the one at Christmas. But when I I just logged on it got me to start with. Hey, it is the month of Love.

I agree, much prefered! I might be biased because I'm not much of a Christmas person, but this is easier on the eyes.
One thing worth noting; the "subscribe topic, previous topic" etc text is the same color as their respective header bar and you have to highlight it to see them. I'd suggest using a dark purple since it's your active link color that is probably causing this and that way links will still show up on the white backgrounds as well. The hover link color is fine, though red tends to blend into pink real well.

As you can now see, I decided your idea had some merit. It may not be a really dark purple (don't want to use too many dark colors in the Sugar Shock theme after all ) but it does stand out better than it did.
