I've taken a shine to reading a fanfiction "genre" known as "Official Fanfiction University". The idea is that the characters of certain fandoms, fed up with how they've been portrayed in horrid fanfictions, open a university to where the authors are dragged to learn how to properly write fanfics. Here's the link: http://www.misssandman.com/LOTR/ofum.html I was just thinking about what a Ghostbusters OFU would be like, and I think that it would be fun if everyone here pitched in. We could have seperate sections for movie writers and cartoon writers (with both incarnations of the original team, as well as their Omnibus Timeline versions). What do you think? Keep in mind that we would have to ask for permission from the creator of the OFU concept to make this fic. |

Oh my...this does have potential... I admit I'm reminded of a fan fic I read once that sortof gets into that area; it was written in the Nineties, probably between the end of RGB and the brief run of EGB, and had the Ghostbusters bitching at Venkman for getting them into fan fiction because of the horrible things the writers made them do.
